Hello to all of you,
before to give you the next two articles of
Story of a Commitment: A Mecha :
Appendix: The Parts and
Part III: The Result, let's talk about new stuff!
Several models still not showed, several in progress, several planned, I should have some news in the next months to show you! Maybe some teasers even!
And... Let's start with Nagausith, Dark Elf Bearer!
She is a sexy and deadly Elf, the kind of girl you can't help to want, already knowing you will regret it!
It's my very first model for
Maelstrom Games, for their own miniature range —
BaneLegions —, in this case the
BaneLords range.
It was a real good experience:
Tim Fisher (D.A.) contacted me about an other model (... the Biggest project I've never started!... Yet still for a 30mm range... Stay tuned to know more ;) ), and then the opportunity to sculpt a very sexy dark elf popped up!
... A bit of my own story there...
I never sculpted a proper Dark Elf, though My Very First Sculpted Miniature was a Rackham Akkyshan Female Assassin from a Jean Bey's illustration, a model I showed during my interview, the model that made me starting in Rackham as basic skilled worker, cleaning and restauring matrices, with the plan to learn and become a proper sculptor...
And with a secret and personal goal in mind: to sculpt the future Akkyshan range!
I never had the opportunity to achieve that goal, but I'm sure you can feel the emotion I felt myself when Tim showed me the great
Stephan Kopinski's illustration!

Nice, right?
Deal was simple: do my best and finest sculpt ever from Stephan's illustration!
... Could not refuse it! :)
And the real nice part: all resin product, I could then happily go for nice textures!, very nice thin textures!!, insanely very thin micro-textures!!! and details, Details... Lot Of Details!!!!
How can I simply resume my thoughts?
... Happiness?
I think I pretty succeed in my goal, I am anyway very proud of the result!
Pics are not great, that's why I show you 2 different sets with different treatment.
I will try to take better ones, but sure you can yet appreciate the model (despite ugly Blu-Talk) and, I hope, will want to paint it!
I can't wait to see different painted versions of her!
Oh! And I just received a resin casting (the final product that will be released) and the quality is just perfect!
I'll let you know later about the details and the sculpture, like the wing and its texture, but for now let's go for just the whole model! :)
